The new score to the silent classic Battleship Potemkin was commissioned by the Deutsche Kinemathek
Eric has scored more than 25 motion pictures, composing for movies starring the likes of Susan Sarandon, Sam Shepherd, Larry the cable guy, Martin Sheen, Anne Heche, Shannon Elizabeth, Kirsten Dunst, Tom Cruise, Fran Drescher, Joe Mantegna, Harry Dean Stanton and more.
The scores range from orchestral to electronica to acoustic, covering many cultural palettes, often in the same movie, including African, Indian, and Native American music. (Eric plays sitar and tabla in addition to piano, guitar and bass.)
For Witless Protection, Eric composed one of his widest-ranging scores (rock, Indian, classical) in service of the endearingly hilarious screen presence that is Larry the Cable Guy, who takes his unpredictable character to new dimensions in “Witless Protection.”
For Race, the animated feature due later in the year, Eric wrote an orchestral-tech score.
